Job description

At Bayview Nurseries we select people who enjoy the outdoors and take pride in quality workmanship.

  • Must Be able to lift 50 pounds to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to be at work by 7:30 am.
  • Have a valid drivers license with less then 4 points.
  • Install complete Irrigation systems.
  • Works with a small team of 2 to 4 people.
  • Meets production schedules consistently.
  • Train Irrigation associates.
  • Manage and coach Irrigation associates that report to you.
  • Assist design personnel with irrigation design and estimate as required.
  • Evaluate progress on job sites pertaining to the project budget.
  • Review water requirements on site with Landscape Forman.
  • Layout system, flag head locations.
  • Oversee the project for proper procedures and quality control.
  • Communicate with client to ensure their needs are met.
  • Communicate all changes with the construction manager.
  • Review the entire system with the homeowner on its operation.
  • Fill out daily work logs completely and accurately.
  • Verify all work is completed properly.
  • Maintain all equipment to represent a professional Image.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 – $22.00 per hour

Title Landscape Construction Associate
Job Information

We are looking for an experienced and diligent Landscape Construction Associate to join our team. This position is accountable to assist with producing high quality landscapes that fulfill the requirements of both the client and Bayview Garden Nurseries.

Landscape Construction Associate Duties:

  • Work closely with the Foreman and Crew Leader in installation of landscape construction projects
  • Always represent the company’s best interest by maintaining the highest level of integrity and professionalism
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site and assist Foreman and Crew Leader in keeping an orderly and stocked trailer.
  • Maintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles.
  • Plant new flowers, bushes and decorative shrubs
  • Perform highly physical installation work on a consistent basis
  • Work as part of a team and take direction
  • Understand and meet production and project schedule deadlines without sacrificing great quality service or excellent quality
  • Oversee maintenance repairs to equipment, landscape structures and hardscape walkways

Landscape Construction Associate Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years old
  • Previous experience in landscaping or grounds keeping a plus
  • Must know how to operate lawn maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers and hedge trimmers.

Title Lawn Maintenance Associate
Job Information

We are looking for an experienced and diligent Lawn Maintenance Associate to join our lawn care team. You must be comfortable operating lawn maintenance equipment, such as lawn mowers, trimmers and blowers. You must also understand how to water, fertilize and prune decorative shrubs and plants.

Lawn Maintenance Associate Duties:

  • Maintain a clean and safe job site and assist Foreman and Crew Leader in keeping an orderly and stocked trailer
  • Always represent the company’s best interest by maintaining the highest level of integrity and professionalism
  • Mow grass and prune trees and shrubs
  • Maintain existing landscape design and ensure plant survival
  • Plant new flowers, bushes and decorative shrubs
  • Rake fallen leaves and remove debris
  • Keep pedestrian areas clean
  • Properly store and handle all equipment, tools, sprinklers, etc.
  • Work as part of a team and take direction

Lawn Maintenance Associate Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Previous experience in landscaping or grounds keeping a plus
  • Must know how to operate lawn maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers and hedge trimmers
  • Able to stand, bend and squat for extended periods and able to lift 40 pounds
  • Work in various weather conditions

Title Residential Pesticide Applicator
Job Information

We are looking for an experienced and diligent Residential Pesticide Applicator to join our team. Job entails applying fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides to residential properties.

Residential Pesticide Applicator Applicants Must:

  • Be team oriented, dependable, organized and able to communicate well with others
  • Be dependable, hardworking & honest
  • Have a minimum 2 years experience doing similar work
  • Be able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day
  • Be able to read and understand the English language
  • Be able to work safely with lawn and landscaping equipment
  • Hold or desire to hold a NJ Pesticide and Fertilizer Applicator’s License
  • Be able to identify trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals
  • Have a valid driver’s license, CDL a plus
  • Be able to work with teams of 2 to 4 people as well as independently
  • Be able to lift 50-75 pounds
  • Be able to meet production schedules consistently
  • Be able to fill out daily route sheets/work logs accurately
  • Be able to work outdoors in hot and cold conditions
  • Be at work by 7:30 AM

Certified Landscape Professional Certificate a plus
